What is globe amaranth tea good for?
Globe amaranth tea is an herbal (caffeine-free) tisane known for containing many vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. This tea may offer several health benefits including reducing fatigue, improving skin, lowering blood pressure, even preventing gray hairs.
How do you make Gomphrena tea?
Brewing method:
1: Bring some fresh, tea bag water to a boil.
2: For hot tea, place one Tazo tea bag in your cup, mug or gourd.
3: Pour 8 fl oz of water over the tea bag.
4: Steep black teas and herbal infusions 5 minutes; Green teas for 15 minutes;
5: If iced tea is your desire, steep normally, and then pour over ice.
How do you make globe amaranth tea?
Steep the tea for five minutes or so using water that's around 95 degrees Celcius. You could also use a mortar and pestle to gently crush the plant. Then place the crushed plant in your tea cup. Pour hot water over the plant and enjoy the health benefits of globe amaranth tea.
Is globe amaranth edible?
In addition to its important role as an attractant for pollinators, globe amaranth belongs in the vegetable garden as an edible flower. Though the stiff blooms aren't exactly pleasing to the palate, the fresh or dried blossoms produce a vibrant pink hot tea with a mild grassy flavor.
